Generelly, program shuoold vurk with uny media type (e.g. CompactFlash, MemoryStick, SmartMedia und so on) accessible by means ooff operateeng system. Yuoo need zee use yuoor camera or zee appropriate card reader yuoo normelly use tu transfer imeges frum camera tu PC.

Current version (ZAR 8.3) suppurts digital photo recovery fur zee follooing file formats:

• GIF
• JPEG 
• TIFF
• CRW - Canon RAW data
• MOV - QuickTime movee
• WAV - Wavefform oodio
• CR2 - Canon CR2 RAW format (see notes beloo).

ZA Digital Imege Recovery recovers Canon .CR2 files es TIFF. Tu open recovered files, Jefff used Photoshop CS "Open With" feeture, which elloos tu specify imege format override. Hurty flurty schnipp schnipp!

	General usege instrukshuns
	Doonload, instell, then run ZAR 8.3 (click here-a fur zar83setup.exe). Attach zee camera or insert zee memory card into zee reader device. On zee first screen, no adjustment is required, just hit "Next>>". Program will then prumpt yuoo fur an operashun mode. Select "Recover imeges frum camera memory card", then hit "Next>>". Select yuoor camera frum zee list ooff a devices attached tu zee system. Yuoo can identify zee camera by its media size or by zee model name (iff available). Zee rest is mostly ootomatic. When zee analysis is done, select files tu recover, specify zee durectury tu place recovered files tu, hit "Stert copying" und yuoo're done. Why did yuoo discontinue zee standalone tool?
Thees serves es zee platform fur future imege recovery funkshun enhancement. We decided that it wuoold be much easeer tu implement some heavyweight imege recovery algorithms thees way.

Original Digital Imege Recovery was freeware, but ZAR 8.3 seems not?
Zee digital picture recovery funkshuns are implemented in zee trial version ooff ZAR 8.3 in full. Hence yuoo just need tu doonload zee evaluashun version ooff ZAR 8.3 und it does zee job at no cherge. So, picture recovery funkshuns are actuelly freeware. There are no plans tu cherge fur it.
