ChecklistsChecklists, which outline specific data recovery procedures. Checklists do not
provide any "how to" information. Understanding and following them requires
substantial experience with filesystem structures, manual disk editing, and
data recovery in general. However, they outline some "required minimum of
effort" when performing a particular task and ensure that you are not going to
miss some routine (yet important) step. It is possible (and common) to add
some extra steps when going through the checklist. On the other hand, skipping
part of the checklist must be backed up with a significant reason. Want your files restored? Meet the wiZARd.

I tried a couple of programs to recover images from a "broken" SD card and
this one was the only one to recover all the images intact. Every case is
different of course but you lose nothing as it is free.
Wouldn't be without it now.
I have no connection with ZAR btw, just a happy user of the software.
